Hi, names Zach and I'm the founder & owner/operator of TerraFirm! I'm so excited in the fact that you are here. Browsing our site for what we have to offer. But first, a little bit about myself and what I genuinely believe sets us here at TerraFirm apart from ALL the other Outdoor Living Solutions & Lighting Specialists.

I've been in the Turf Management & Landscaping industry since 2009. I started out like most others. Mowing & trimming for local lawn care companies. Boots on the ground five to seven days a week. Long hours & hot days. Looking back on those years as a labor grunt, I sure learned a lot — and the hard work never failed to teach me a life lesson.

Construction has always been a part of life. There's just something about building with your hands — it's incredibly rewarding. In 2012, a year after my daughter was born, I ventured away from lawn care and got hired on at a local construction firm doing concrete and building custom homes all around Missouri. I wanted a career in Construction Management, so I enrolled in college to earn my degrees in Business and CM while working full time. I loved the job, and the work was quickly earning me the respect of my peers and supervisors.

What I carried out of all those years is a simple habit: build it like it has to last, and finish what you start.

TerraFirm is where those two halves finally meet. Landscaping taught me how a property lives. Construction taught me how to build it right. And the thing I kept seeing on both sides of the trade — lighting treated as an afterthought, a few fixtures stuffed into a bed that was already poured, wire run wherever it happened to fit, the crew building the space almost never the one deciding how it looks at night — that gap is the reason this company exists.

So light, stone, and planting get designed together, on one plan, by the same person who walks your property and stands in your yard the night we aim every fixture for the first time. No hand-offs. No "that's another company's lane."
